The Henry County Genealogical Society will be visiting Fort Donelson National Battlefield in Dover, Tennessee on June 13, 2014. The group will meet at the Fort Donelson visitor center; 120 Fort Donelson Road, Dover, TN, 37058; at 10:00 AM.
After touring the fort, the group will head to a dutch treat lunch at the Dover Grill, 310 Donelson Pkwy, Dover, TN 37058, and we will hold our Quarterly Business meeting at this time, if there is any business to attend to. After lunch, those who are interested, will go on to the new welcome center in Dover at 117 Visitor Center Lane, Dover, TN 37058 before disbanding for the day.

We would like to invite everyone to our Quarterly Meeting at Lee School on April 21, 2014. The program will be on African American genealogy and the problems faced by those researching those lines. Ms. Dorothy Cook will speak to her experience researching her lines, and some of the common problems encountered while researching.

Suzanne Richter and Jamie Weatherly are working on a book about Henry County Doctors. They are collecting names, photos and any other information available on doctors who practiced and/or medical clinics in Henry County.

Lee School is creating a Henry County Education Museum with emphasis on Lee School. The exhibit will be in room seven. They are looking for items primarily relevant to Lee School.

Spring Hill Baptist Church near Routon, Tennessee. This church
has been in existence since 1848. All are welcome to our quarterly
meeting at Lee School on July 15, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. to learn more
about the extensive history of this Henry County Church.
